A Christmas Poem The time is Christmas eve,
and all around the town
Christmas Eve
children are impatient
for it to be sun down
cuz that's when Santa starts
his journey round the world
bringing lots of presents
to every boy and girl
that's when the magic happens
at the start of his flight
for there must be magic
to stop in one night
at every single home
when a child waits there.
adults might always question
how can one sled bare
all the presents needed.
I will tell you, if I must
there is special magic
in Santa's elfin dust.
Every child knows this
adults tend to forget
Santa's just for children
our minds refuse to let
us believe in magic
how can it be so
adults might not remember
but we all use to know
he doesn't come down chimneys
that would take too long
instead he passes over head
dropping presents where they belong
and the toys all come alive
on this special night
with santa's magic elfin dust
that guides his worldly flight
they know exactly where to go
and float down on elfin wings
to a child patiently waiting
to see what Santa brings
and it must be magic
for there to be such joy
on all the little faces
of every girl and boy
when they awaken Christmas morning
and rush over to the tree
to finally get the presents
they waited for anxiously
I know magic can happen
just believe it is true
so I send this special thought
to every one of you
remember the magic of Christmas
no matter what you do
then the joy of the season
will stay the whole year through.
